NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Detectives with the New Orleans Police Department are looking for four people who stole money from Café Du Monde early Labor Day morning. According to NOPD, the four suspects went into Café Du Monde on Decatur Street about 5:20 a.m. Monday. After ordering beignets, the man in the red baseball cap stole money from behind the counter. The other three people who were with him watched the theft. They all left together after he stole the money. Anyone with information on the identity of the suspects or their whereabouts is asked to call Detective Iain Watt or any Eighth District detective at 504-658-6080.
