SLIDELL, La. (WGNO) – A man and his passenger are OK after driving their car off the road Monday at 6th Street and Michigan Avenue in Slidell.

According to police, the two admitted to playing Pokemon Go just before the crash. Authorities say, the driver and the passenger spotted a “rare” Pokemon and were trying to capture it when they drove off the road hitting the sidewalk and culvert.

“While this game is apparently fun to play and some of these stories are funny to hear and read about, We as Police Officers encourage everyone to have fun playing the game but use caution and we discourage playing the game while driving.
