NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 300 block of Girod Street overnight.

Shortly after midnight on Sunday morning, two victims got into an argument with the suspects standing in the street. The suspects produced guns and opened fire on the victims, striking them in the lower body, leg area.

The victims were transported to University Hospital after being attended to in the 700 block of 701 Tchoupitoulas Street.
