NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department has arrested 36-year-old Cedric Powell for a shooting that left a woman dead.
Friday morning around 8 a.m, the woman was shot and killed in the 300 block of N. Villere street.
The coroner has identified the victim in this incident as 30-year-old Erica Tate.
Powell is facing second-degree murder charges.
At the moment, police do not have have a motive for the killing.
