BATON ROUGE, La. (WGNO) – The man who allegedly pulled the trigger and fatally shot a West St. John High School assistant football coach is behind bars.

Kendric Cloud, 25, turned himself in to Baton Rouge police Tuesday evening, authorities said.

Cloud is accused of shooting 27-year-old Juan Joseph.

Police say Cloud was in a car with another man when they got into an argument with Joseph and two other men.

Cloud will be booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of 2nd degree murder, illegal use of a weapon and felon in possession of a firearm.

Cloud was accompanied by an attorney Tuesday.
