NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A man is dead and another wounded after a shooting in Central City on Sunday.

Shortly after 9 p.m. the New Orleans Police Department says officers responded to a report of shots fired at the intersection of Third and Derbigny streets.

Police say they found two men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene while the other was transported to an area hospital.

The deceased victim’s identity has not yet been released.

There are no updates on a possible suspect or motive at this time.
