NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department has arrested 19-year-old Andre Skinner in connection to the homicide in the Little Woods area Sunday (Jan. 29th).

According to reports, around 1:41 p.m. officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 8000 block of Curran Boulevard. At the scene, deputies said they found a teenage girl suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim’s age was not disclosed in the early reports of the shooting.

The girl was pronounced dead on the scene.

Skinner has been charged with one count of negligent homicide and two counts of negligent injury.
