NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans police say a pair of prowlers weren’t at a daiquiri store to get frozen drinks; they wanted cold cash.

Police say early Sunday morning at about 4:50, two men broke into the Daiquiri Shop in the 5700 block of Crowder Boulevard and stole the ATM.

It’s not the first time police have worked this kind of case.  Thieves have targeted numerous ATMs over the years.  Their success usually depends on how well the machine is anchored.

In this latest case, police say the pair was able to get the machine and left the scene in an unknown make of truck.
