NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas in the French Quarter.

Crews from French Quarter Fest Inc. spent the morning decorating Jackson Square in preparation for the holidays.

Giant red bows, miles of string lights, and a variety of other decorations went up all across the square.

The final touches that will transform the Quarter into a Christmas wonderland will be put in place when the French Market Christmas tree will be unveiled on November 17 at 5:45 p.m.

The annual Christmas New Orleans Style celebrations will kick off shortly thereafter, with a performance by the Jones Sisters in the cathedral at 6:30 p.m.
