The Causeway Bridge has reopened after being temporarily closed due to inclement weather.
The bridge was closed for approximately one hour beginning at around 8:30 a.m. Friday because of strong thunderstorms, high winds, crosswinds, and poor visibility.
Just before 9:30 a.m., the Causeway Police Department said, “The severe weather closing the Causeway Bridge has cleared at this time. The bridge has reopened.”
Drivers are encouraged to commute with caution as heavy rain continues.
