NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The Big Cheezy is celebrating its new Uptown location with free food – and judging by the lines, a lot of people heard about the celebration.
The Big Cheezy, which offers multiple variations of the grilled cheese sandwich, is having its grand opening for the Magazine Street location today.
On its Facebook page, the restaurant said every walk in customer on Friday gets a free signature grilled cheese, a side and a drink. The line around 11:30 a.m. was about the length of a city block.
The Big Cheezy’s original location is on Broad Street in Mid-City. It’s been a popular eatery since it opened.
