New Orleans (WGNO) – Exciting news for Blue Bell Ice cream fans! On Monday, a few days before Christmas, they will begin stocking stores with ice cream in our area. It is a BIG day for Blue Bell fans in New Orleans and in Phase Four.
Fans will be able to buy five flavors: Buttered Pecan, Cookies ’n Cream, Dutch Chocolate, Homemade Vanilla and The Great Divide, starting Dec. 21.
The company announced in November it was launching Phase Four of it’s plan to rebuild after a listeria outbreak earlier this year. The company pulled it’s products off shelves and worked to clean facilities.
Also in November, the company reported they reopened their Brenham, Texas facility. According a press release from the company opening that facility has helped them build enough inventory to bring Blue Bell products back to Louisiana and Jackson, Mississippi.
According to Blue Bell they will also offer 12-pak Homemade Vanilla Cups and 12-pak Homemade Vanilla and Dutch Chocolate Cups .
