NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – A new survey by the Manufactured Housing Institute reveals what we fear the most this holiday season.

Four out of 10 people who took the survey say they are worried about the upcoming holidays.

Leading the list? The fear that politics will come up during dinner.

Biggest Holiday Fears

  1. Politics discussed over dinner
  2. I’ll be stuck in traffic
  3. My favorite team will lose the game
  4. We will run out of food
  5. The cook will ruin the dinner
  6. We Will run out of wine
  7. Religion will be discussed over dinner
  8. A family secret will be revealed

More than 2,200 adults were surveyed between November 2 and 3 of this year – before the election.

The survey also found more women plan the holidays and are less worried than the men about things going wrong.

Millennials and Gen Xers are both most likely to drink too much and to worry about running out of wine at dinner.

Boomers are least likely to compliment the cook even when the food is bad and also the most fearful that politics is coming up.
