NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Snake Oil Festival will be this weekend, June 19-21, at the Howlin’ Wolf in Warehouse District.  Headliners such as Bella Blue will be performing, as well as hosting workshops on the art of burlesque.

“The number one benefit out of burlesque is the empowerment and the ability to own your own sexuality, and your femininity or your masculinity, or all of that together,” Bella Blue explained.

Bella Blue gave WGNO reporter Meghan Kluth some lessons in fan dancing and it definitely takes practice, but is worth giving it a try. For Bella, the pay off is the creative process and the reward she feels from giving people an unforgettable experience in New Orleans.
