ZEPHYR FIELD (WGNO) – It’s the “Shrine on Airline”.  It’s Zephyr Field where the New Orleans Zephyrs play baseball.

But this football season, the field of dreams is now a gridiron for Friday Night Football.

And no football game would ever start without a healthy, hearty round of tailgating.  And that means a healthy, hearty creative menu of tailgating chow.

WGNO News with a Twist features guy Wild Bill Wood is LIVE at Zephyr Field for Friday Night Football.

For this game, the Patriots of John Curtis Christian School play the Tigers of Holy Cross.

At the end of the game, the Patriots would win.

The final score was Curtis 27, Holy Cross 7.

But before the first kickoff, the tailgating was a winner for both teams.

And on the menu for the Curtis fans, a recipe of pastalaya which combines pasta and jambalaya.
