NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Shaya may sit in a familiar neighborhood, but there’s nothing vanilla about it, especially when it comes to dessert.

Transporting your taste buds is exactly what pastry chef Kelly Fields had in mind when she designed the dessert menu, which is why she offers two flavors of halva ice cream. Israeli cheesecake, chocolate babka, mango sorbet; these desserts combine the familiar with unknown ingredients that add exotic flavor and excitement to your plate.
