New features at Tales of the Cocktail

NEW ORLEANS(WGNO)– The 13th annual Tales of the Cocktail kicks off tomorrow at the Hotel Monteleone, and is always a city wide attraction for both tourists and locals. This year there are a few extra benefits that locals should take advantage of.

The convention will be offering more  spirited dinners, their own distillery day so that people can go out and visit some local distilleries. In addition they put together their own restaurant week so that locals can get great values of meals paired with cocktails from now until next Monday. And Sunday night there will be a block party on Freret street to wrap things up featuring four different venues all working together: Cure, Company Burger, Publiq House, Hi-Hat that will all be featuring special cocktails.

Tales of the Cocktail is a world wide attraction, so restaurants and bars are bringing their A- game. Even if you don’t attend any of the seminars and events, you can get a great deal on a meal at one of the many of the hot spots in town that are participating in restaurant week.

The pop-up gift shop and book store are open now at the Hotel Monteleon for those of you who simply want to stock up on merchandise.
