“Oh I wish I were an Oscar Meyer weiner! That is what I truly wish to be! ’cause if I were an Oscar Meyer weiner! Then everyone would be in love with me!

Everyone was in love with the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile in Harvey today, and now is your chance to see one of the 6 wienermobile’s in our area! Accompanied by one of three Planters Peanut Nutmobile’s, the two vehicles along with two “hot doggers” and two “peanutters” as well as Mr. Peanut stopped at the Walmart  and are touring two more tomorrow.

Planters Peanuts is celebrating its 100 year anniversary, while Oscar Meyer Wieners are celebrating 80 years of successful business and traveling the country. The 6 passenger wiener-mobile is painted with blue skies on the interior, so there is never a bad day on the road.

Brand Ambassadors are from all over the country for both companies, and are recent college graduates who travel the country for one year bringing joy to families of all ages on the “Coast to Coast Wiener Roast.”

Asked how she became involved with the organization, Hotdogger Ashley Eisert said, “It is very unique, so I actually  first saw the Wienermobile when I was 14 years-old and so I fell in love with the program and just wanted to apply.”

If you would like to say hello to Mr. Peanut or take a peek inside the Wienermobile, you can visit them Friday, Nov. 18 at the Walmart Supercenter from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Chef Menteur Highway in New Orleans, or the Walmart Supercenter from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Judge Perez Boulevard in Chalmette.
