New Orleans Film Society executive director will step down at the end of this year

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The New Orleans Film Society kicked off the New Orleans Film Festival with a bang Wednesday night at the Orpheum Theater. The U.S. premiere of the upcoming film LBJ was screened with celebrities walking down the red carpet before the show.

After the premiere, some of the cast and film festival goers second-lined to the after party.

NOFS Executive Director Jolene Pinder will step down at the end of the year, but she’s going to make sure this is the best year yet.

This week hundreds of films from all over the globe will be screened at the festival. Some film panels with professionals will be available for free to the public during the week.

Film Panels will have professionals from the film industry answering questions about different topics about the life in the film business.

Check out our interview with Jolene above to see what’s all to offer this year at the NOFS.
