New Orleans (WGNO) – Vinsantos has been making dolls for years. He started in the New Orleans markets making mosaics art that eventually turned in to assemblage dolls.
Vinsantos is into drag and burlesque so he was inspired to make dolls that represented his life.
Friends and family gives Vinsantos a part of their life. Whether if it’s jewelery, journals or clothing pieces, He then takes these things and tells a story through the dolls.
Most people just throw away or box items of someone who has passed, but making memorial dolls is a way to put memories on display.
