Cast of ‘Scream Queens’ & ‘American Horror Story’ join fight to help Louisiana flood relief

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)-21st Century Fox is leveraging its talent and network to drive up support for Louisiana.  Recognizing that Louisiana is not only home to thousands, but also an important production hub for the film and television industry, the network is partnering with talent that have a special connection to the area to drive awareness and donations.

This includes producer Ryan Murphy, creator of FX Networks’ “American Horror Story” and FOX’s “Scream Queens,” who noted: “After shooting two series in New Orleans, I feel particularly connected to the state of Louisiana and the wonderful and talented people I’ve met there…We want everyone affected by these devastating floods to know that we see you and that help is on the way.”

Working with “Scream Queens” cast members, including Jamie Lee Curtis and Emma Roberts, 21st Century Fox and Murphy partnered to film a short PSA, calling on viewers to help with relief efforts.

21st Century Fox has also donated $100,000 to the Louisiana Association of United Ways’ (LAUW) Flood Fund, which has been set up to make a targeted impact by distributing flood relief donations to six local United Way member organizations operating across the region.

The network and talent will also be leveraging their social media channels to drive additional donations, and 21st Century Fox will rally its 15,000+ employee base to extend the donation amount even further.
