Dr. Kelly Burkenstock, an anti-aging physician, explained there is a way to get rid of unwanted tattoos.
Dr. Burkenstock said, “Well, they can be removed. You can’t walk in and get it taken off that day, however, over a series of many months—10 to about 16. We can get those tattoos off through a series of laser treatments [which are] really painless. During each of the laser sessions during tattoo removal, they will take about 10 to 15 minutes. We’ll perform the laser work, and then we’ll see you back again next month. In between the ink continues to dissolve.”
Jamie Spada, Tattoo Removal Patient, explained she didn’t like her tattoo.
Spada said, “Well, I made a mistake right after Hurricane Katrina and decided I wanted to get a Fleur-De-Lis on my back, so I did and then a few years later I was like, oh my goodness what am I doing?”
Spada decided to go through the laser removal treatment.
“I’m happy to say that my mistake is almost removed. You can barely even see it anymore. I still have maybe one more treatment to go,” Spada said.
Dr. Burkenstock explained, “Keep in mind with tattoo removal it does depend on the tattoo artist, ink, pressure, and type of equipment they used, so results may vary.”
