NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)- Renew Cultural Arts Academy got a real treat this afternoon!
“Annie” movie star, Quvenzhane Wallis paid a visit to the school to watch and listen to students performing songs from the musical including—“Hard Knock Life” and “Tomorrow”.
The 11-year old actress came to the school as part of the Turn Around Arts program which aims to bring high quality arts and music to lower performing schools across the country.
Renew will be putting on their own production of “Annie” and who better to give them tips, but the star of the flick.
