NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus rolled Saturday night, celebrating all things nerdy in the city streets of New Orleans.

A krewe for Star Wars fanatics, cosplayers, and the all-around nerds of NOLA, Chewbaccus took to its Marigny parade route. The “green” krewe prides itself on homemade throws and a parade without engines — one of the few walking parades in the city.

According to MardiGrasNewOrleans.com, roughly 900 members make up the sci-fi parade, including newcomers and krewe veterans.

However, if you’re looking to roll with the krewe, they have three simple rules:

  • No unicorns (unless they have rocket thrusters)
  • No elves (unless they are cyborgs).
  • Whinebots will be air locked into the nearest Black Hole
