NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The nerdiest carnival krewe in New Orleans, the Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus, is now officially a religion!
The nearly 1,000 member group is a full-fledged satirical space cult, classified as a 501c3 charitable and benevolent religious organization.
The designation fits in nicely with this year’s theme, “The Cult of the Sacred Drunken Wookie.”
