Get the Skinny in the Kitchen:  Inflammation-Busting Popsicles!

Popsicles that are sweet, refreshing, AND legitimately good for you?  We’re Getting the Skinny today on DIY popsicles filled with real, whole foods, with nutrients that are loaded with health benefits:

Experiment with your own combo of good-for-you add-ins, like cilantro, chili powder, or rosemary – if you like the way it tastes, you really can’t go wrong!

 

Cinnamon Cherry Delight Popsicles

Makes 8 medium popsicles or 12 small popsicles

Ingredients:

Instructions:

Place all ingredients, except cherries, into blender or food processor and pulse 5 times. Add cherries and pulse just once or twice. Pour into popsicle molds and freeze until firm – about 3 hours.

To release popsicles- place mold in hot water or under hot water from the tap for 10 to 20 seconds and then pull gently out and serve!

 

Per medium popsicles (8 per recipe):

94 calories, 7 grams fat, 6 grams sat fat, 17 mg sodium, 61 mg potassium, 13 grams carbohydrate, 55 grams net carbs, 1 gram fiber, 4.5 grams sugar, 1 grams protein

 

Per small popsicle (12 per recipe):

60 calories, 4.5 grams fat, 4 grams saturated fat, 11 mg sodium, 40 mg potassium, 8 grams carbohydrate, 3 grams net carbs, 0.5 grams fiber, 3 grams sugar, <1 gram protein
