Lunchbox Announces Free Order Aggregation with Any Product Purchase, Reinforcing Commitment to Restaurant Growth

NEW YORK, April 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Lunchbox, the leader in enterprise restaurant catering and off-premise technology, today announced that Order Aggregation—also referred to as middleware— is now included at no cost with the purchase of any new Lunchbox product. The move is part of the company's commitment to helping restaurants scale revenue while eliminating outdated infrastructure fees.

Lunchbox, today announced that Order Aggregation is now included at no cost with the purchase of any Lunchbox product.

Lunchbox believes operators should invest in tools that grow revenue—not just keep the engine running. By bundling Order Aggregation, the company is helping restaurants focus their budgets on strategic growth areas like catering, multi-channel ordering, and guest engagement.

"This is about realigning priorities," said James Walker, CEO of Lunchbox. "Legacy providers are still charging operators for technology that's now considered table stakes. At Lunchbox, we're prioritizing innovation where it counts—loyalty, catering, AI, and new revenue streams. Order Aggregation is now bundled because it always should have been."

Order Aggregation automatically routes third-party orders from platforms like EzCater, DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub directly into the restaurant's POS system. While the product is critical for off-premise success, Lunchbox believes it should be treated as infrastructure, not a standalone upsell.

This announcement follows a period of record growth and product adoption for Lunchbox, with enterprise brands like Paris Baguette, Pei Wei, and Hawaiian Bro's—all recently signed with the company—increasingly consolidating their tech stacks and turning to integrated platforms. By eliminating aggregation fees, Lunchbox further distinguishes itself as an operator-first solution designed to reduce friction and accelerate digital transformation.

"Restaurants are under more pressure than ever to make every dollar count," said Nabeel Alamgir, Executive Chairman of Lunchbox. "We want our customers investing in products that unlock revenue—not in basic connectivity. This change reflects our belief that foundational technology should come built-in. We're putting operators first by removing another unnecessary cost from the tech stack."

The update is now available to all current and new customers who sign for a net-new product.
