A lifelong native of Georgia, Jason comes to New Orleans from Chattanooga, TN where he spent four years serving as weekend meteorologist.
A graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in Earth and Atmospheric Science, Jason is no stranger to broadcast meteorology. During his student years, he interned with WGCL and WSB, both in Atlanta, and at the National Weather Service in Peachtree City. An internship at CNN led to a position as a freelance weather producer during the 2004 hurricane season and provided great breaking severe weather experience. After graduation, Jason signed back on with WGCL as a weather producer, working his way up to forecaster for the evening broadcasts before moving into the on-air weekend position at WMAZ in Macon, GA and then Chattanooga, TN.
When not engulfing himself with the latest weather trends, you can either find Jason relaxing with friends (most likely at the pool in summer) or jet setting off to his next trip. An avid traveler, Jason counts Beijing, New York City, London and Paris as his favorite destinations so far. He hopes to have visited every continent within the next few years.
