Jacqueline Mazur

Weekend evening anchor and weekday reporter Jacqueline Mazur is thrilled to call Louisiana home!

The California native visited New Orleans with her family years ago and since then has longed for the opportunity to explore this magnificent city.

Jacqueline brings a broad perspective to the WGNO news team.

Most recently she worked as the weekend morning anchor and Monterey bureau chief for KSBW-TV in Central California. She was a weekend evening anchor/multi-media journalist for KOBI-TV in Southern Oregon and prior to that a multi-media journalist for WHBF-TV in the Quad Cities region of Illinois/Iowa.

Jacqueline earned a bachelor’s degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University and double minored in the Spanish and Arabic languages.

The opportunity to interact with Mr. Cronkite at the university on numerous occasions solidified her interest in broadcast journalism as a career.

Jacqueline enjoys outdoor activities – especially surfing – but is also a film and literature buff. She loves to travel to gain a better understanding of the world around her, most recently exploring the Mayan ruins at Tikal in Guatemala.
