Aaron S. Lee

Aaron S. Lee joined WGNO full-time in January 2021 after working as a freelancer for WGNO Sports the past five years. 

A native of Minden, located 28 miles east of Shreveport in the heart of the Ark-La-Tex, Aaron has spent the past 27 years as a journalist specializing in American football and Olympic-based sports. 

If it runs, jumps, swims, cycles or skis, Aaron has covered it. 

Whether it’s the Olympics, Wimbledon, Tour de France, Formula One, MotoGP or UFC, sports fans around the globe have probably seen Aaron reporting from exotic locales to bring moments of glory, triumph, tragedy and defeat.

Aaron has worked on assignments in more than 60 countries while working for Discovery-owned Eurosport, and aside from living in the U.S., Aaron has also resided in Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. 

During his storied career, Aaron has worked for Cox Newspapers (Palm Beach Post, Austin American-Statesman), Eurosport (Discovery) and SBS Australia, and has served as an analyst for Sky News, Fox Sports, Cox Metro Sports, and ESPN Radio. 

While working as an NFL reporter for the Palm Beach Post, Aaron was also the managing editor of American Football Monthly and American Basketball Quarterly magazines owned by L.C. Clark Publishing in North Palm Beach, Fla. 

During the early 2000s, Aaron also authored two books, Quotable Don Shula and Quotable Eddie Robinson for TowleHouse Publishing.  

Now residing full-time in the French Quarter, Aaron serves as a content producer and reporter for WGNO’s digital team, and photographer and social media administrator for the sports department. 

Aaron is also a columnist for the Bossier Press-Tribune and the Minden Press-Herald.
