HAMMOND, La. — The Covington Lions defeated district opponent Mandeville, 12-7 Thursday night at Southeastern Louisiana University’s Strawberry Stadium.
The Lions scored on two rushing touchdowns in the second half by quarterback Brandon Coakley and senior Reece Poillion.
Mandeville’s lone touchdown of the night came on a punt return for a touchdown by Landon Ibieta in the 4th quarter.
