The common core school curriculum plan took more heat in St. Tammany Parish Thursday night.

In a 14-to-0 vote the school board decided to drop common core standards.

Some parents want Governor Bobby Jindal to pull the entire state out of the program. So far, four states – Alaska, Nebraska, Texas, and Virginia – have pulled out of the program.

St. Tammany’s vote will now be passed on to the Louisiana legislature where all 144 members will have to vote on it.
