News Producer

Amy Boraks joined WGNO’s ‘Good Morning New Orleans’ team as a producer in March 2020. She is a Louisiana native and grew up in Mandeville on the Northshore.

After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Television Broadcasting from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, she continued on and is currently pursuing her master’s degree with a dual specialty in Mass Communication and Advertising.

Amy has been an intern for the St. Tammany Parish school board’s public broadcasting program, Delta Media Radio in Lafayette and KATC-TV3 in Lafayette, La. Her first full-time broadcasting position came as the producer for KADN/KLAF’s morning show ‘News15 Today,’ serving the Acadiana area in Lafayette.

Amy is excited to be back home with her family and friends while helping share the latest news and stories of the day with the city of New Orleans.
