Jeff Funk

Jeff Funk, Creative Director with WGNO-TV ABC and NOLA38 The CW leads a team that has garnered over 40 Emmy, Promax, Telly and Addy Awards since 2012. He has spent an entire career in television & media which literally started a week after graduating from the University of Florida. Over that span, he has managed brand activations & teams that has generated revenue, bolstered viewer ands user engagement, ratings as well as streamlined sales workflow processes for major media companies such as Tribune Broadcasting, The CNN News Group, Hearst Television & The Turner Entertainment Networks, a division of Turner Broadcasting System Inc. based in Atlanta.

In late 2011, Jeff became the Creative Director at WGNO-TV ABC and NOLA 38 The CW, Nexstar Media Group, Inc.’s duopoly in New Orleans. He leads the award winning team responsible for WGNO’s heartfelt “God Bless Louisiana” campaign, a project that has garnered 12 Emmy, Addy, Telly & Promax Awards on the local, regional and national level. It was also a 2012 National Addy finalist and the 2013 Prestige Award for the “Best TV Promotion Of The Year” by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters. Day to day, he manages all on air promotions, marketings & digital video content activation for both stations.

Passionate about branding, social video and career coaching, he has spoken at conferences such iRetreat, Digital Atlanta, NOLA Bar Camp, Type A, NicheMommy & Barkworld. On his spare time, he is a volunteer basketball coach for local youth leagues and saddles up with his ruby Les Paul as a guitar player with New Orleans’ special events band Sugarbomb. He also tries to catch his breath as three boys and a little girl with enough energy to power a small country, keep him & his lovely wife quite busy.
