Wednesday, Mayor Mitch Landrieu appointed Tim McConnell as the eleventh superintendent of the New Orleans Fire Department.

McConnell is a 29 year NOFD veteran and replaces Charles Parent who is retiring due to health issues.

Thursday, McConnell will receive the ceremonial bugle from Parent which he will keep as long as he’s the department’s superintendent.
