Actor James Gandolfini died Wednesday of an apparent heart attack.

The man best known for his role as a mob boss on HBO’s “The Sopranos” was 51.

Ganfolfini had the heart attack in Italy where he was scheduled to make an appearance at a film festival.

He won three Emmy Awards for playing Tony Soprano from 1999 to 2007.

In 2007 he was Bacchus.

Gandolfini is survived by his wife, a 9-month-old daughter and a son.
