NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Severe damage is reported in New Orleans East after a tornado ripped through the area this morning. The areas around Crowder Boulevard, Downman Road and Chef Menteur Highway were apparently hit the hardest. NASA’s Michoud facility sustained some damage as well. Tornadoes also touched down on the North Shore and in other parts of Southeast Louisiana. The extend of the damage there is unclear.
