NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – New Orleans Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro could have to sit out for four games after reportedly violating the NFL’s ban on performance-enhancing drugs.

According to a report from NFL.com, Vaccaro is accused of using Adderall, a prescription medication used to treat ADHD that’s also considered a performance-enhancing drug.

The report says Vaccaro is planning to appeal the suspension. Because he’s planning to appeal, he’ll still be able to play in Sunday’s home game against the Denver Broncos.

NFL writer Mark Sessler notes that the Saints defense allows a “league-worst 300 yards per game through the air.”

“The New Orleans defense has been a problem from wire to wire,” Sessler says.
