NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Washington Parish voters elected Richard Dillon mayor of Franklinton.
Dillon defeated “Greg” Route by a margin of 51 percent of votes to 49 percent, pulling in 726 votes to Route’s 704.
In the Franklinton Aldermen race, “TJ” Butler, Jr., “Patrice” Crain, John L. Daniel, Heath Spears, and Darwin Sharp prevailed. Sharp earned the fifth spot over Douglas E. “Doug” Brown by just three votes.
Darryl Knight, Gilbert Ball, and Roxie Fornea were elected Aldermen for the town of Angie.
Scott Ard was elected Councilman for the City of Bogalusa, pulling in 53 percent of the votes.
