NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – There are a number of All Saints’ Day masses and blessing of graves events in New Orleans today.

Here’s a list of events:

  • Mass – St. Louis Cemetery #3 (3421 Esplanade Avenue) 11:00 a.m. Celebrated by Archbishop Gregory Aymond. Blessing of graves to follow.  Light refreshments to follow.
  • Mass – St. Roch Cemetery #1 – 9:00 a.m. with Fr. Anthony Anala – Blessing of graves to follow
  • St. Patrick Cemeteries, Blessing of Graves to begin at 11:00 a.m.
  • St. Louis Cemeteries 1 & 2, Blessing of Graves at 2:00 pm and 2:15 pm, respectively
  • St. Vincent de Paul Cemeteries (Soniat Street), Blessing of Graves to begin at 11:30 a.m.
  • St. Joseph Cemeteries, Blessing of Graves to begin at 12:00 p.m.
  • St. Charles Cemetery (Luling), Blessing of Graves to begin at 1:30 p.m. in Holy Savior Mausoleum

There will be security today from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at St. Roch Cemetery, St. Joseph Cemetery and
St. Louis Cemetery #2.

The Archdiocese of New Orleans accepts donations to plant a tree in memory of your loved one or to help beautify our historic cemeteries.  Memorial plaques can also be provided.  Trees offer a serene and comfortable environment.  Choose between a Saucer Magnolia and a Crepe Myrtle – each tree will be between 8′ and 10′ tall.
