MANDEVILLE, La. (WGNO) – Two teens were arrested in Mandeville for trying to scare people with creepy clown masks.

According to Mandeville Police, officers responded about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday to reports of two guys in a Ford Focus, with one of them wearing a creepy clown mask and getting out of the car to try to scare pedestrians.

The officers found the two suspects – 18-year-old Ryan Bailey of Mandeville and a 16-year-old also from Mandeville – and also found the clown mask on the passenger floorboard of the vehicle.

Both were arrested on misdemeanor charges of mask-wearing prohibited in public places. They were issued a summons and released.
