COVINGTON, La. (WGNO) – The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for a second suspect in connection with a shooting death at the Green Springs Motel near Covington.  The search for Demetri James is the topic of the latest Wheel of Justice report.

The case started on October 4 when deputies were called to the Green Springs Motel where someone had reported shots being fired. When the arrived, they found 32-year-old Brandon Washington shot to death.

The following day, deputies arrested 27-year-old  Terry Hookfin and booked him with a murder charge.

But by the end of the week, deputies were on the hunt for a second suspect, Demitri James.

James was last known to be in the Covington area. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
