NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans police are looking into a pair of restaurant burglaries just blocks and hours apart.  Take a look and see if you think it’s the same culprits.  The case is the latest Wheel of Justice report. The first burglary happened Sunday morning at the Cowbell restaurant at Oak and Eagle streets.  Surveillance video from the store’s Facebook page shows two burglars arrive and pause outside the business for a couple of minutes.  Eventually, the break a glass door and enter the building.  But the portion of the restaurant they accessed was only the enclosed patio.  There was little more than ketchup and mustard bottles to steal.  So they had to break another door to get inside the main dining area, which set-off an alarm and sent the burglars running.
Then the next morning, just a few blocks away on Oak Street, two burglars broke into the Mellow Mushroom by smashing a window.  Again, once inside, they began breaking things to find cash.  But just like in the Cowbell case, a burglar alarm sent them running away. In both cases, the burglars got away with nothing, zip, nada. Police have not connected the cases so far.  But the owners of both businesses think the cases could be related. If you have information that could help police solve either case, call CrimeStoppers at 504-822-1111.  You don’t have to reveal your name or testify, and you could earn a cash reward. So far, 320 people have landed behind bars after their cases rolled on the Wheel of Justice. WheelOfJusticeGfx
