CONVENT, La. (WGNO) — Wednesday afternoon, the Louisiana State Police released aerial footage of the tornado damage at the Sugar Hill RV Park of State Highway  44 in Convent as well as some of the surrounding area.

The damage ranges from minor to devastation.  One shot may show a recreational vehicle that appears to be slightly askew.  Then the next shows scattered, splintered pieces of wood with no way to know what they used to be.  Most of the damage is significant with piles of debris scattered across the park.

The tornado struck Tuesday afternoon.  Two people were killed.  At least 30 more were injured.

The National Weather Service says the tornado was wider than a football field.  It was an EF-2 with wind speed between 111-135 mph.
