NORCO, La. (WGNO) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold a press conference at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, regarding the Mississippi River’s rising water levels. Many wondering what will happen with the Bonnet Carre Spillway and the Morganza Floodway.

Tuesday morning, the Carrollton Gauge showed water levels at 14 feet. WGNO Anchor Jacki Jing learned that around 11 feet, the Corps starts closely monitoring water levels, then they take action when it hits 15 feet. She asked Ricky Boyett with the Corps about possible triggers and what the public needs to know. He revealed what he could before the presser in a few hours.
