NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – New Orleans police confirmed Monday that two people, an 18-year-old and a juvenile, were arrested last week in connection with recent Uptown business armed robberies.

Within the past 2 months, masked gunmen have busted into Monkey Hill Bar on 6100 Magazine Street, Atchafalaya on 900 Louisiana Avenue, and Patois on 6078 Laurel Street. The suspects took money and personal items from diners and employees.

18-year-old John Guillory and a juvenile were both arrested during an overnight raid at an apartment complex in New Orleans East. The raid came 2 days after the armed robbery at Monkey Hill Bar.

NOPD spokesman Tyler Gamble told WGNO, the pair has not been charged in any of the armed robberies and are not considered suspects at this time.

Anyone with information about these armed robberies is encouraged to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
