METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) – Metairie Park Country Day senior guard J.C. Younger, a first team all-state selection, is leaving the school. Younger will transfer to the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Head coach Mike McGuire said Younger confirmed his departure via text Monday (June 29) night. The 6’3.5 Younger was a three-year starter.

Country Day won back to back titles in 2013 and 2014 with Younger’s help. This past season, the Cajuns lost to Madison Prep in the semifinals.

In the 2014-2015 season, Younger averaged 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists.
