NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A shooting in the West Lake Forest neighborhood left a man dead Thursday (April 13th).

Around 6:45 p.m., officers from the New Orleans Police Department responded to a call of shots fired in the 6900 block of Salem Drive. At the scene, officers located a 22-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. On Monday, the Orleans Parish Coroner identified the victim as 22-year-old Dondre Brown.

There has not been any word yet on a possible suspect and motive. The homicide remains under investigation.
