HARAHAN, La. (WGNO) – Ro-Bears Snowballs turns 50 this year, and owner Shirley Roberts turns 90. Ms. Roberts started the stand when she was in her 40s after hurricane Betsy in 1965.
Shirley Roberts says she has seen kids grow up over the years to have their own kids go to the stand. Shirley says not much about making snoballs has changed, but the amount of flavors since she was a kid have grown immensely.
