(WGNO) – If you hear emergency sirens in St. Charles Parish Tuesday, don’t panic.

The St. Charles Parish Emergency Operations Center is testing their outdoor warning sirens on Tuesday, April 28.The siren located near the pump station at 198 Kerry’s Point, Bayou Gauche will be tested between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon.

The siren located near the pump station at 198 Kerry’s Point, Bayou Gauche will be tested between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon. The siren located near the Norco Volunteer Fire Department, 651 West B Street, Norco, will be tested between the hours of noon and 5 p.m.

The sirens could be sounded three to five times. Each time, they will sound no longer than one minute.

If there’s an actual emergency, the siren will sound for five minutes. St. Charles Parish has set up a website for what to do if there is an emergency.
